What does an implementation look like?

Once a contract and HIPAA BAA are in place, implementation follows four steps: connect PMS/EHR data syncs, map insurance behavior, define policy rules, and go live. We focus first on the workflow issues with the biggest impact on schedule readiness and reimbursement.

How does Pracauto validate patient insurance?

Pracauto validates patient insurance through insurance portals provided by insurance companies, including Availity, Oscar, UHC, and others, then flags records that need review before the visit.

Which insurances does Pracauto support?

Pracauto supports configurable insurance workflows and can be set up for the insurance plans your practice actually works with. During onboarding, we map your plans and define routing/check behavior for each one.

Which PMS systems do you support?

Pracauto currently supports NexTech Practice+, but we're happy to add support for other PMS systems as well. If you'd like to see support for a specific system, please reach out to us.

Can Pracauto help with prior authorizations?

Yes. Pracauto detects when appointments require prior auth and no valid auth is on file, then tracks each case in a prioritized dashboard by service date.

Can Pracauto manage PCP referrals?

Yes. Pracauto supports HIPAA-compliant fax-based PCP referral workflows with scheduled status checks and lifecycle tracking from new to completed.

What is AI Search?

AI Search lets staff use natural language to find patients and appointments that need review. Searches are read-only, can be saved and reused, and can be shared with emailed deep links based on role permissions.

What can AI Search look across?

AI Search can query patient demographics, appointments, insurance, referrals, prior auths, providers, PCP details, and EHR encounters.

Does Pracauto re-check upcoming appointments automatically?

Yes. Pracauto monitors PMS and EHR data changes and automatically runs policy rules in near real-time, then notifies users of high-priority issues.

How long does implementation take?

Most practices can get initial value quickly once integrations and core workflows are configured. Exact timing depends on your systems and process complexity.

Will my team need extensive training?

No. Pracauto is designed for front-desk, scheduling, billing, and clinical support teams. We provide onboarding and workflow guidance so staff can use it with minimal disruption.
